Description
Aglaonema rotundum is found near a waterfall at elevations of 360 meters near Medan in North Sumatra.
Aglaonema rotundum is a herbaceous plant or shrub, stem height 15 cm, petiole length 3–7 cm, leaf blade rounded and wide like a shield with a tapered tip measuring 16 cm, the upper leaf surface being reddish green, while the lower part is reddish green. Maroon. Pour the lighter-colored leaves so that they are clearly visible to form grooves. The thick leaf blade measures 10–14 cm long and 9–12 cm wide. The cob-shaped flowers are whitish and covered with a sheath.
Aglaonema rotundum likes a place to grow in the shade that’s moist and cool. This plant requires a medium that is loose, rich in nutrients, and has high porosity.
This plant can be used as a room decoration.
